Do not let the passing fool you

Hey, I think following your own trail is the most genius thing people do yet it is not rosy, I mean if you are having high hopes in your thing you know how hard it is for you, and you actually do it because it is the only thing that is giving you joy. If you haven't found anything of the sort you are even lucky what am I saying those who are lost are better than the found simply because there is a whole lot to explore, for the "found" it is a different story.  Let me explain, so very much we are into what is happening, we have the news with us, what is the hot cake of the day (I am not complaining though), I just think the most important thing is our news, our personal news, how are you doing I do not mean to sound corny but just how you feel. It is not going to guarantee any fortunes whatsoever though that's precisely how fortunes come. While you are being yourself and you do not let any destruction that is in the day get into who you are becoming you are going to e...

We suffer in Imagination than in reality

Hey, I have used a title from a quote by Seneca("we suffer more in imagination than in reality"-Seneca) with no particular reason other than a frank intention that extensively explains what I want to share with you. It paints a very vivid picture of my massage. Anyway, with no further ado let us get into it. Let us face it we are always worrying, right? what will happen if I do not pass my exams? what if I do not get my diploma, my degree, or my Ph.D.? what will people say if I start a youtube channel? what will people say if I speak about this? what will people say I am not married and I am 35? just worry, worry, and more worry. While it might be fair to say that worry is a part of life and there is no one out there who does not. But what is very evident is that it just that like it is just thoughts on our heads playing over and over. So what is my point? Well as much as we always worry, sorry as much as we have to worry we should not let it dictate our way of thinking and ...

Stop thinking and start doing

Hey, do you remember that resolution you made this year? well, whether you made one or not that is not the point. Most of the time we always want to make the right choice, not that I am complaining, in fact, that is the most logical way of doing things yet when it comes to deciding we seem to not make a choice and move on with it and we fall into a pit we call agonizing. Agonizing looks something like this: "Am I sure this is the best decision ?" "what if I did option 3 instead?" "I wonder if I can go back and do it over?" If you have never fallen into such a pit consider yourself unusually fortunate, thank your parents for the good decision chemistry in your brain, and just read for the information. But if you are like most of us you know these are familiar questions. The reason we agonize is that we care for our lives and the lives of others. These decisions we make we know are important and we want to give the future its best possible chance. We want t...

Passion is important but remember value is everything

Repeatedly, you would hear people say you should be passionate about what you do. And as much as that is true for reasons we all know too well, there is an attribute which is everything, and that is 'value.' But before I bore you with my theories let me illustrate with a story of a company I think we are all familiar with, Apple Inc.  The company currently has a $1 trillion market valuation. The company started at Steve Jobs's parent's garage and it was his friend steve Wozniak who was passionate about electric boards experimenting with most of the boards he was building, who build the board of their first computer, and the rest is history as they say.   Now it is very easy to forget that a while ago that same company was facing bankruptcy. And there so many reasons as to why the company was heading to that ending but I want to stick to one, to illustrate my point.  One of the founders the late Steve Jobs was fired from the company in 1985 and by 1997 the company had...

Let us talk Change

Hey, changing is a broad word, right? like what do you mean how to change? The change I am talking about is personal. You know as humans we reach a point where we know we have to change, in fact, let me correct that, "we want to change" but there is that resistance to stay to the old self so to speak.  Talk of the change we innately know is good for ourselves, deep-down we know but going ahead and actually walking that talk is the mountain very few can climb. Hey, I am not trying to scare anyone but I am trying to paint the real picture. Let us face it change is difficult, we all know that. Now having said that if you want to change, or you are thinking of changing personally whether it is your lifestyle, your habits, your career, your business, and so forth. It is not going to come just like that I mean you are not going to just say "okay here is what I want" and you start to change just like that, no, it will take something more than that.  First, let us look at ...

What really means 'To be more productive'

Hey, How many times do you think to yourself I need to be more productive? an uncountable number of times right? Very often that thought is always begging us almost pushing us to do more. It tells you "you are so lazy, you can do more, you need to do more than you are doing." But to be fair nine times out of ten (9/10) that thought is usually right. We can do more than what we think we can but yet to actually be more productive is not answered by doing so much stuff. I know it is counterintuitive to what is considered to be more productive. So here is what I mean, to be more productive involves doing effective and quality work in less amount of time. That work should be externally rewarding.  Let me illustrate, picture two individuals with an equal number of hours say, eight, and they are told they should spend those hours as productive as possible. Now the first individual uses his time and accomplishes six tasks and 1 task out of those six was done with great effectiveness...

Know your worth

Hey, There is a law in life that has been, is, and will always be true that is, "you will always be treated how you treat yourself." How you view yourself, how you talk, how you walk, and even how you present yourself is vital from what you get back. People will treat you the way you treat yourself.   Now let us get real here, there are things you can never have control of, things like the climate of the day. If it is a rainy season for example, and the rain makes you moody or makes you view the day as bad then guess what? you can not have control of it, It will rain whether you like it or not. But there is one thing that you can control and that is yourself. Using the same rainy example imagine two salesmen waking up to that rainy day and one of them wakes up yawns looking outside the window sees the rain and says, "oh no it is raining today I can not make sales today no one will be outside." So he slides back in his warm bed and continues to sleep. Now picture th...
