What really means 'To be more productive'

Hey, How many times do you think to yourself I need to be more productive? an uncountable number of times right? Very often that thought is always begging us almost pushing us to do more. It tells you "you are so lazy, you can do more, you need to do more than you are doing." But to be fair nine times out of ten (9/10) that thought is usually right.

We can do more than what we think we can but yet to actually be more productive is not answered by doing so much stuff. I know it is counterintuitive to what is considered to be more productive. So here is what I mean, to be more productive involves doing effective and quality work in less amount of time. That work should be externally rewarding.

Let me illustrate, picture two individuals with an equal number of hours say, eight, and they are told they should spend those hours as productive as possible. Now the first individual uses his time and accomplishes six tasks and 1 task out of those six was done with great effectiveness and quality. Now the second individual uses his time by completing say 2 tasks all done with great effectiveness and quality. Now obviously since he is done in less time he uses his extra hours doing his hobbies. Who do you think is more productive?

Some might say the first individual but I beg to differ. The right answer is, the second individual, you see being more productive is not in completing more tasks as it is perceived. It is in doing effective, quality, and rewarding external work. Being more productive is not just being busy, it is being busy doing what?

I hope I have been able to show you some light with regards to productivity, Perhaps it's got you thinking from a different perspective. Either way, I wish you all the best if you ever try to be a more productive individual.

Dare

The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The people who risk nothing, do nothing, have nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live. Chained by their attitudes they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free. People, who risk may go through things that seem self-inflicting you know someone looking from the outside so to speak might ask what in the world is this guy thinking? why go through all that? why try you know how difficult it is? These are the people who don't risk anything thinking it's the best decision in the short term but in the long run, those who have risked are the ones who enjoy life, feel, change, find their path, grow, and live fulfilling lives. Just like a plant that is in a cocooned place will always look dull unlike a plant that faces all the elements, is usually more vibrant. Here is my point always try, risk, feel, love, and don't ...
