Its a day at a time then it turns to weeks, months, Years and eventually it's a life time
Hey, every day is an opportunity if you are up you have this opportunity at your disposal to do whatever you want with it. Now how you do it or what you do is your choice, for the most part, you have to maybe, go to work, do this and that, and so on and so forth. The fact is every day is an opportunity, this opportunity has a limit though for one it has 24 hours in each. Each opportunity comes with that limit you can not take more or less that's it. One person puts it this way "it is not the number of hours, it's what you put in those hours."
Now surely I am not here to give you a miraculous formula for the 24-hour day opportunity we have, but I am here to tell you there is a way of dealing with this opportunity and that is it is not the number of hours you work per day, it is working doing what? it is not how busy you are, it is busy doing what? because let us face it you can be busy the whole day and still be doing nothing and you can be busy for an hour and be doing something.
So what is my point well succinctly put you have an opportunity every time you wake up. It does not matter where you slept the night before, how, or what time. At the rise of dawn here is a 24 deal with it. I guess on one hand am advocating for accountability and on the other, I am calling on the irresponsibility of expectation. In that, it is not the number that matters it is what in them that does.
President Abraham Lincoln once said 'if you give me 5 hours to chop down a tree I will use the first 4 hours sharpening the ax." Our lives are usually centered on time, how long will this take? how fast? how quick can we get rich? how fast can we make this business happen?
Rarely do we look at what expense this hurriedness comes with, surely being fast is smart but being thorough and effective is smarter if not better. Being able to achieve faster/quickly is good, but being able to achieve effectively and impactfully is great.
There is a saying I like but boy it is so cliche! but to be fair it does hold water as I conclude let me leave you with it perhaps you have heard it which I am certain you have but ponder on it for a few it holds a lot of contexts "Rome was not built in a day."
One thing is for sure if you are trying to achieve/build/create/ something that is going to last it will take time. Show me anyone who has built anything great easily and with almost less time and I will show you a liar. Having said that remember even those great things" had to start in other words they had to start somewhere with all the daily challenges we know all too well.
So perhaps what I would want to leave you with is do not be too hard on yourself that you are wasting time but be too hard on yourself that you make sure you are putting something in the hour or day. As I said before it is what you do, not how long you are doing it? In other words, it is what you are putting in the hour or day, not what hours/day you are putting in.
