The most powerful six letter word

Hey, So recently I recalled a speaker back when I was in high school he walked in and said hi to us and he was very well dressed by the way suit and all I mean the guy was looking sharp. In my head, I am thinking "here we go another boring speaker who probably is going to give us some speech about how it was very difficult in the old days and how we were a lucky lot. But boy was I wrong! but long story short he stood at the podium and asked "which one of you here can tell me what is a six-letter word that can bring you everything you want, and at the same time make you lose everything you want?"

The hall was full of silence you could slice it with a knife. "Anyone?" he insisted nobody's hands were up, I am thinking just get on with it. He pauses looks at the back of the hall then picks up chalk and writes on the board (HABITS). Looks at the crowd and everyone's faces brighten with some sort of realization. Like we knew the word we just could not figure it out. Tell you what, he got my attention.

Habits are the most subtle but moving thing we possess, see to us we do not even recognize them I mean it is very unlikely to consider some things we do are habits. I like the way one of the best investors in trading said it "the chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to broken."

Habits make us who we are, what we do is innately driven by our habits so much so that even companies study human habits to make sales. The question now is how are you using your habits? or are they using you?

The goal is to recognize them and become their master so to speak, and not the other way around. To make them work for you and work towards your advantage. Remember they usually seem not to make any effect, they seem so subtle that it is easy to ignore them right? the thought of even thinking that habits can make you achieve anything almost sounds like a joke.

That is the trick, remember it is these little things that we do that add up to the bigger things. Consider an obese person for example before he/she becomes obese most likely does not even recognize their eating habits. It is only after some time that they realize that they weigh like a truck that is when the realization hits them.

Habits are very subtle, remember the key is to know yours and make them work for your advantage. Perhaps you even have a goal ask yourself what is the best habit that can get you there? what can I employ to work for me? and what can I get rid of? remember habits can also be learned.

As always thanks for reading if you love the content share it and have yourself an amazing week.

Dare

The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The people who risk nothing, do nothing, have nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live. Chained by their attitudes they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free. People, who risk may go through things that seem self-inflicting you know someone looking from the outside so to speak might ask what in the world is this guy thinking? why go through all that? why try you know how difficult it is? These are the people who don't risk anything thinking it's the best decision in the short term but in the long run, those who have risked are the ones who enjoy life, feel, change, find their path, grow, and live fulfilling lives. Just like a plant that is in a cocooned place will always look dull unlike a plant that faces all the elements, is usually more vibrant. Here is my point always try, risk, feel, love, and don't ...

How to know, you are doing the right thing for you

Hey, have you ever thought that the reason you are struggling with certain things in your life is because of something else other than you? Maybe how you are brought up affected how you view relationships, how you were treated in certain situations has made you change the way you view things, maybe a breakup made you declare there is no love out there, and so forth. I am sure almost every one of us has. Surely what any of us has gone through affects how we view and define these "things" in our life. Talk of relationships, money, and life in general. I mean it is only natural, We are wired the way our brains are created to be for us, to protect us, and thus if anything happens against what is expected it is a cause of alarm. In other words, if for instance what you have done before failed, it's only natural that when you have a chance to do the same endeavor you become alerted and you end up hesitating to do it, or not doing it at all. These "things" that do hap...

The pandemic lessons and why they will always happen

Hey, surely pandemics have always been with us right?, and as I should also say they are going to be with us. Let us face it there is another virus somewhere waiting to happen and I don't mean to scare anyone but to show what is actually reality. To be honest with ourselves the pandemics that do happen or will happen are usually 99% our faults caused by our negligence, carelessness, and so forth but also through good intentions like trying to experiment with a bunch of drugs to find a better one. Anyway, it should not be an excuse, as pandemics bring all the negative things that we all know yet funny enough through pandemics man has come out more capable and better with a drug to kill that virus and keep the virus in its place so to speak. But as much as pandemics come packed with all the negative stuff we should not forget all the good they come with. what do I mean you ask? pandemics come with their fair share of good talk the Covid 19 pandemic for instance I would say has come ...
