"Change," the undeniable force

Hey, change happens, as they say, "change is inevitable" but there is a transition that we all have to get involved in for it to survive. They say that "people are like sand they either nourish you and help you grow or stunt your growth until you wilt and die." Every one of us wants something good with our own intentions yet it is so evident how easy it is to forget other people are getting theirs too.

what am I saying? change will never happen whatever that change is if we are not willing to step up and embrace it with all its shortcomings. Change is for every individual yet it is innate to us so much that it is difficult to accept it. Call it the truth that needs to be faced the ego knows this you want to know the truth but it is afraid of the truth.

So often people say "change is difficult" but the truth is it is not, the resistance by our egos and fears is the one resisting to accept of the change. Recently I saw some African countries undergoing some sort of change so to speak. The sitting presidents seem to have what I call the African president's power syndrome where African leaders after fighting for their country and being given the chance to lead the country think they are entitled to impose whatever law on their countrymen.

In one of those countries, the leader after being in power for almost 3 decades wants to pass a bill that abolishes an age limit for anyone sitting in power to seek another term in a leadership position which in simple terms will enable him to stay in power for as long as he's alive. He even went ahead abusing his powers and changed the constitution illegally.

I am not here to report on what some countries are doing right or wrong but rather to show my point that change will catch up with anyone, whoever you are, and whether you like it or not, it is coming if it has not happened already. Now going back to that story the citizens decided enough is enough they went out to the streets with pluck cards and their voices as loud as they could to protest against the sitting government against the injustice being forced on them.

As we all know how this goes down several people die several others are injured but the one thing remains, the change has already happened, the winds have shifted the people are not turning back. In our case here those citizens would rather die than see some injustice forced on them.

So what is my position in all of this? we should always be ready to embrace change I know it is usually all talk and no act but there is only one way to get to the action and that is through action.

Dare

The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The people who risk nothing, do nothing, have nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live. Chained by their attitudes they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free. People, who risk may go through things that seem self-inflicting you know someone looking from the outside so to speak might ask what in the world is this guy thinking? why go through all that? why try you know how difficult it is? These are the people who don't risk anything thinking it's the best decision in the short term but in the long run, those who have risked are the ones who enjoy life, feel, change, find their path, grow, and live fulfilling lives. Just like a plant that is in a cocooned place will always look dull unlike a plant that faces all the elements, is usually more vibrant. Here is my point always try, risk, feel, love, and don't ...
