Great can never be beat

 Hey,

Today let us talk about great, and why it can never be beaten, well what does great mean exactly? Great means of the amount that is above average, or of quality, ability considerably above average. Now I think most of us can understand that now to the question of why it cannot be beaten.

Something great is more appealing than something that is, say considered average. Anywhere you go everyone wants the better option and it's not that I am complaining, on the contrary, that is where I am hingeing my point so to speak. Anything great does not need to be defended it just defends itself. I like the way the Swahili saying puts it (kitu kizuri hujiuza kibaya hujitembeza) which means that something great will not need any convincing from anyone and the bad thing will always try to sell itself.

So what is my position well as much as people would want to put all the excuses available about how the great may have not been achieved were it not for an advantage, resources, and so forth. There is one thing that is for certain you are either great or mediocre you can not be both. What it is you are doing, and you do it to the best that you can be noticed, and you will need not convince anyone that you have done something great, it will just sell itself out.

As Martin Luther King jr once said, 'If a man is called to be a street swiper he should sweep streets as Michaelangelo painted pictures, or as Beethoven composed music, or as  Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep so well that the host of heaven and earth will have to pause and say "Here lived a great street sweeper, who did his job well."

I think there is one unrelenting truth that is evident, it is not by size, resources, merits, and so forth that we can be great. In other words, if you can not be a mountain be a small hill but be the best small hill that has ever been.

I hope you find the courage and the strength to build great things and work on yourself to achieve the same. Dare

The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The people who risk nothing, do nothing, have nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live. Chained by their attitudes they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free. People, who risk may go through things that seem self-inflicting you know someone looking from the outside so to speak might ask what in the world is this guy thinking? why go through all that? why try you know how difficult it is? These are the people who don't risk anything thinking it's the best decision in the short term but in the long run, those who have risked are the ones who enjoy life, feel, change, find their path, grow, and live fulfilling lives. Just like a plant that is in a cocooned place will always look dull unlike a plant that faces all the elements, is usually more vibrant. Here is my point always try, risk, feel, love, and don't ...
