Drinking your own water

As creators, producers, idealists, artists, and anyone who likes to share information we get to a point in life that most people would almost call a rut. I am calling it "not being able to drink your own water" in the sense that at times you are trying things your way and you believe and know they work. You even preach it to others as recommendations to their lives to improve themselves and their lives in some way or add a value of some sort.

Now here is the thing, as much as you believe in 'that' whatever it is you are preaching you don't get to do it and it becomes almost hypocritical. Your conscience holds you guilty, like how can you recommend this to them when you can't do it yourself? I have to say this happens to me almost all the time, and if you are a creator, an idealist, or a producer of anything new you will tend to experience it. If you haven't, good for you.

So what's my point? perhaps you have something in you that you want to share and you believe it's right and it works. Now you haven't got to do it and your thoughts are telling you "stop! you are going to look like a fool, no one is going to listen to you, you are not even doing it yourself, those are recommended by other people not people like you" and so forth whatever that comes from our thoughts.

I think the best way to overcome that guilt and those thoughts is just by preaching it, just saying it like it is after all, since you as the preacher of the water who has not got to drink it, do not make the water any less than any other water. In other words, since you are recommending something that you haven't got to do or employ doesn't make it wrong.

Dare

The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The people who risk nothing, do nothing, have nothing, are nothing. They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live. Chained by their attitudes they are slaves; they have forfeited their freedom. Only a person who risks is free. People, who risk may go through things that seem self-inflicting you know someone looking from the outside so to speak might ask what in the world is this guy thinking? why go through all that? why try you know how difficult it is? These are the people who don't risk anything thinking it's the best decision in the short term but in the long run, those who have risked are the ones who enjoy life, feel, change, find their path, grow, and live fulfilling lives. Just like a plant that is in a cocooned place will always look dull unlike a plant that faces all the elements, is usually more vibrant. Here is my point always try, risk, feel, love, and don't ...
